You know, I hate to admit it, but sometimes I just don't

I get past this?

Can't I just pray for God to remove my unwanted pounds?

Prayer is definitely part of the solution. But praying
alone, of course, is not enough. Faith is also essential,
but as James continually reminds us, having faith without
also taking action is "dead." Nutrition and exercise are
also important. But what good does it do you to have the

isn't true?

about letting somebody cut on your body, you need to
understand that weight reduction surgery is really just
another attempt to solve through physical means what
is simply not a physical problem.
In other
words, weight reduction surgery is just another way of
"attacking symptoms" without ever solving (or even
understanding) the real, root cause of the problem. Even
worse, virtually everyone who loses weight through surgery
gains every bit of it back -- or more -- within three to
five years. Why? Because, they still haven't solved their

they have only focused on the physical symptom
